Katie was born and raised near the Appalachian Mountains in East Tennessee. She moved to the Palouse five years ago after falling in love with her husband and has enjoyed making Pullman her home. Art has always had a huge impact in Katie’s life and she has used it as a therapeutic means of self-expression. She took many drawing, painting, as well as various other art classes growing up and has continued to make all sorts of creations throughout her life. The past few years she has dedicated most of her time to raising her daughter. She also started a side business making hand lettered wooden signs along with other Pinterest worthy home décor crafts. When she thought about going back to work full time she dreaded the thought of doing something that she didn’t love on a daily basis. Establishing a love of art in children as well as adults is something that she is very passionate about. So teaching people how to create their own works of art in a laid back and approachable setting is clearly the perfect gig. She looks forward to bringing something new, different, and fun to the community.
Emily just moved to the area and is an aspiring artist and entrepreneur. She is a self taught creator with a love for doing things by hand. When she isn't drawing, sculpting, carving, or DIY-ing, you can find her cooking for friends, putting together photo shoots, or practicing guitar and learning music.
